Veterans Fishing Trip for Brighton Marine Veterans
Did you ever hear the quote “The best way to catch a fish is to let him think he's escaping?” That must be the philosophy our residents used when they launched from the East Boston Yacht Club on July 24th because they reeled in nice catches! Thanks to The Fishing Academy, our veteran residents eagerly anticipate the annual Fishing Academy Veterans Fishing Trip each summer to enjoy the Boston harbor and catch some striped bass.
This program provides a peaceful setting to share experiences and bond.As U.S. Navy Veteran Jacky McDonald said, “After every Veterans Fishing Trip, I take what we catch and cook up a storm back at Veterans Housing for everyone!”
